Makeup Monday #7 - MAC face & body (Review & Giveaway)

I realised last week that this would be my 100th post & to celebrate I thought it would be nice to say thank you to everyone who has supported Glitz and Pram by doing a little giveaway competition.

I fell in love with MAC face and body foundation (RRP £21.50/£27) when I was in college studying makeup artistry: It wasn't the first 'high end' foundation that I had tried but it was the first one that I had been impressed with. It's a water-based foundation that provides low-to-medium buildable coverage and a flawless, natural, satin-shine finish.

As with all fluid foundations I would recommend applying with your fingers as you will loose a lot of the product if you apply with a brush or sponge & if you have any problem areas you'll need to touch-up with a concealer. It is very quick drying which makes it easy to layer & build but it doesn't appear dry or cakey on the skin, in fact it's quite dewy. It also has a really great lasting-power & unlike some other satin-finish foundations it doesn't slide off of your face if you have an oilier complexion. I would still recommend a finishing powder but that shouldn't put you off, I would recommend a finishing powder for most foundations.

As the name suggests it is not JUST for your face; I personally use it more often on other parts of the body. It is a 'barely there' foundation that helps you look fresh & flawless, I love it: I wouldn't be without it in my kit & I know a lot of other professionals feel the same way which is why I thought it would be perfect for my first competition.

The giveaway is open from today (19th August 2013) for a fortnight & the winner will receive a 50ml bottle of MAC face & body foundation in their shade. To apply you need to:

The competition is open to anyone & you can apply by tweeting once a day, the winner will be chosen randomly & contacted on the 2nd September 2013. In order to apply you need to be happy to disclose a delivery address, so if you are living with parents you will need to have their permission first. Good luck & happy Monday :)
